Angel L. Reyes, III is a nationally recognized trial lawyer, founder, and entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in plaintiff’s personal injury litigation and legal operations. He is the founder of Angel Reyes & Associates, PC, a high-impact law firm that has resolved over 55,000 personal injury cases and recovered more than $1 billion in verdicts and settlements. Angel’s trial teams have taken over 450+ cases to jury verdict, with a focus on 18-wheeler crashes, wrongful death, and catastrophic injury.
In 2024, Angel and James Carlson founded North Shore Partners MSO, a pioneering Managed Service Organization that supports Angel Reyes & Associates, PC. Under both of their leadership, the MSO has scaled from 90 to almost 600 legal professionals and now handles more than 12,000 injury cases, coordinating insurance claims, medical care, demand preparation, and real-time legal support for his law firm.
Angel’s legal expertise is matched by his deep civic engagement. He has served on the boards of DART, United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, and the Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, where he was Chairman for two years. He has also worked with St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and the American Jewish Committee to advance equity and opportunity in Dallas and beyond.
Angel is also a prolific legal scholar and speaker. His recent article, “Does the FTC Have Blood on Its Hands?” (Buffalo Law Review, 2020), critically examines the Federal Trade Commission’s enforcement practices under Section 13(b) and the tragic consequences of overreach. He is also the author of “A Rose by Any Other Name Would Smell as Sweet” (Tulsa Law Review, 2024), a provocative defense of keyword bidding in legal marketing. His additional scholarly and policy works explore immigration, economic disparities, and jury bias against non-English-speaking Hispanics.
A sought-after voice in the legal field, Angel has presented dozens of times at legal conferences across Texas and the U.S., sharing insights on law firm growth, litigation strategy, and the business of law. His commentary and advocacy have earned him appearances on major television networks and numerous radio stations, where he speaks on issues ranging from consumer protection to Hispanic community empowerment.
He began his legal career at Carter, Ledyard & Milburn, the oldest law firm on Wall Street, and previously worked in complex litigation at Morrison & Foerster LLP. Angel is admitted to practice in Texas, New York, and Arkansas, and has been honored by Super Lawyers® every year since 2008. An accomplished author and thought leader, Angel has published two books and several law review articles, including “A Rose by Any Other Name Would Smell as Sweet” (Tulsa Law Review), a provocative argument for competitive keyword bidding in legal marketing. He is fluent in English and Spanish and holds a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, an MBA from Texas Tech (Summa Cum Laude), and a B.A. from the University of Kansas (Cum Laude).
